The Samurai Returns
How do you relaunch the Samurai burger in the middle of the McDonald’s Monopoly campaign?
Well, what if we showed the Samurai desperately trying to win the big prizes, just like everyone else?
Armed only with a small budget and a liking for Japanese film, we filmed our own series of vintage-looking movie scenes that combined elegant cinematography with ridiculous scripts.
As well as creating a series of fun films for social, we also knocked out a TV stinger, press ads, in store advertising, GIFs and the official McDonald's Samurai food packaging.
And at the end of it all, we picked up a nice, shiny Creative Circle award. Job done.

Results: We sold 20% more Samurai burgers than the year before!
